EPSDT
Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) is a Medicaid program in the United States aimed at providing comprehensive and preventive healthcare services to children and youth under the age of 21 who are enrolled in Medicaid. EPSDT is mandated by federal law and is administered by state Medicaid agencies. The program emphasizes early detection and intervention for health problems and aims to ensure that eligible children receive timely and appropriate medical, dental, and developmental screenings, as well as diagnostic and treatment services.
